Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
Today we had overcast skies with some rain mixed in. The winds were from the south at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 70’s.
Up on the Avon pier and on the beaches there were sea mullet and pompano reported. The Buxton beaches had some sea mullet. Out at Cape Point in Buxton a few bluefish and sharks were caught. Over on the Frisco beach a few sea mullet were reported.
The inshore boats caught puppy drum, bluefish and some spanish mackerel in the Pamlico Sound today.
The offshore boats had good dolphin fishing, a few wahoo and black fin tuna reported.
Today was the first day of the 24th Hatteras Village Offshore Open. Good blue marlin fishing with 10 blues released and 2 boated. Sea Toy with a 690.4 lb to take the lead. A white marlin was also released.
