Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today we had more nice sunny weather.  We had south-west winds 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s.

Up on the Avon beach today some sea mullet, spot, croakers and a few puppy drum were caught.  Around the Buxton beaches there were a few spanish mackerel, puppy drum, croaker and sea mullet reported  Over on the Frisco beach at Ramp 49 pompano, sea mullet and puppy drum were caught.  The Hatteras beaches had sea mullet, spot, puppy drum and yearling drum

The inshore boats had real good red drum fishing with several citations caught in the Pamlico Sound.  The spanish mackerel fishing was good today outside Hatteras Inlet.

The offshore boats had excellent dolphin fishing with gaffer and bailer size.  The wahoo and blackfin tuna bite was good too.
