7-10-11 Outer Banks Fishing Report

Here is your Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

The weather was excellent today. Temperatures in the mid to high 80’s and wind blowing out of the north, to east later on, at 5-10 mph.

Beach Fishing improved tremendously  today, compared to that of yesterday. Big pompano, and sea mullet were the hot news from the southern beaches. A few blues were reported as well.

Inshore charters reported a nice day. Spanish mackerel, bluefish, and puppy drum filled the boats.

Offshore charters reported a nice day out on the water as well. Several sailfish were seen, but one caught off of the Native Son and the Endorfin. There were also limits of amberjack, excellent dolphin fishing, scattered wahoo, and good blackfin tuna bites. One customer also came in and reported of catching a 50+ lb yellowfin tuna on his private boat today.

Tomorrow’s weather is supposed to be very similar to todays. The wind is supposed to blow out of the ENE at 5-10 mph and temperatures in the high 80’s.
