7-20-11 Outer Banks Fishing Report

Here is your Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

It was a hot and humid one today. Light South west winds at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 80’s.  Good fishing at cape point today and yes you can drive to get there.  Early to late morning there were good spanish mackerel and blue fish being caught, mostly on metal.  Some sea mullet and spots were also caught.  The Frisco beach had a few sea mullet and blues on bait.  The Hatteras beaches and inlet area had good blues and spanish.  Some flounder, spot, croaker and sea mullet were caught up and down the beach.  The Inshore boats had good catches of speckled trout and blues.  Some nice keeper flounder and a few gray trout.  Offshore today they had excellent dolphin catches, good wahoo and some blackfin tuna.  Several sailfish and a white marlin were released today.
