Here is your Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks fishing report for Hatteras Island.
The weather was rainy and over cast all day. Thunderstorms struck offshore this afternoon, and it rained inshore for the most part of the day. The temperatures were in the low 80’s with a wind blowing out of the south-east at 5-10 mph.Beach Fishing slowed down some today as we only of had reports spanish mackerel, and bluefish at the point. There were a few sea mullet and pompano on the south beach.Inshore charter guides had a relatively slow day. They reported only catching bluefish.
Offshore slowed down quite a bit from yesterday, They still reported good catches of dolphin and a few wahoo on the troll and excellent wahoo fishing on the fast troll. One boat had caught around 15 fast trolling. .
The weather is supposed to be similar tomorrow. They are calling for a 40% chance of rain with scattered thunderstorms. Temperatures expected to be in the high 80’s to low 90’s, with winds blowing out of the south at 5-10 mph to start the day. Later on the wind is expected to switch to the north-west at 5-10 mph.
