8-6-11 Outer Banks Fishing Report

Here is your Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks fishing report for Hatteras Island. 

The weather was decent today, even though we did experience a few showers. The temperatures were in the mid 80’s for the most part of the day, with a wind blowing 5-10 mph out of the east.

Beach Fishing was decent today as reports of sea mullet, pompano, and flounder came from the south beach. A few spanish mackerel and bluefish were caught from the point.

Inshore Charter guides reported good catches of speckled trout, and a few bluefish and flounder mixed in.

Offshore charters had a decent day today. They reported good catches of dolphin, reaching citation size, and a few amberjacks, wahoo. and scattered king mackerel. There were two sailfish caught today. One from Godspeed, and one from Native Son.

The weather is expected to be nasty tomorrow with winds blowing 15-20 mph out of the southwest. There is a 40% chance of rain along with scattered thunderstorms. Temperatures are expected to reach the low 90’s.
