This is Your Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks fishing report for Hatteras Island:
It was such a nice and sunny day. Light west south-west winds 10 mph and the temperatures were in the high 80′ to low 90’s . Around the Buxton beach there were a few flounder. Up around cape point scattered catches of sea mullet, spot, croakers and pompano. On the point itself a good spanish mackerel and blue fish bite on lures, early morning and late afternoon. The Frisco beach had some real good puppy drum fishing throughout the day. A few scattered blues also caught. The Hatteras beaches were slow most of the day, but the spanish mackerel and blue fish were biting really good on lures at the Hatteras Inlet just before dark.
Offshore boats had another good day. Good catches of dolphin, a few wahoo and blackfin tuna mixed in. Bite Me released a Blue Marlin and Tuna Duck released a Sailfish
Inshore boats out fishing in the sound today had a little bit of everything: Speckled and gray trout and bluefish
