Outer Banks Fishing Report 9-24

Here is your Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

Well it rained all day.  The winds were light out of the south at 10 mph and temperatures were in the mid 70’s.  A few people fished Cape Point and caught some drum over the slot limit of 27″.   That’s about all I know from the beach.  No Inshore boats fished today.  The Offshore fleet had two boats out today. It rained on them the whole time but they caught fish.  A few nice size dolphin and wahoo, some yellowfin and excellent blackfin tuna.  There were 2 sailfish released by the “Godspeed”.

The Daiwa Saltist Conventional reels are a great casting reel for those big drum at Cape Point.  Match this reel with a 10′ to 13′ rod that can cast 4-14 ozs of weight.
