Outer Banks Fishing Report 9-29

Here is your Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

This morning it rained pretty good around 9:30 and then the sun came out for the rest of the day.  South-west winds blew 15-20 mph and the temperatures are a little cooler in the upper 70’s.  Cape Point had a good run of bluefish on lures and finger mullet early this morning and this afternoon. With the south-west winds tonight there might be a big drum around,  The Frisco beach was a little slow, just a few bluefish.  Down at Hatteras Inlet there were a few bluefish and scattered puppy drum caught.  No boats fished inshore today.  The Offshore fleet had a choppy ride out today.  They caught a variety of a few dolphin, wahoo, blackfin and yellowfin tuna.

The Daiwa Millionaire 7HTmag is an awesome reel for casting to the red drum at Cape Point.
