Outer Banks Fishing Report 1-16

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

Today was mostly sunny.  We had east winds at 5-10 mph switching to the south-west and increasing to 15 mph with the temperatures reaching the mid to upper 40’s.  Tonight and tomorrow the temperatures are going to be in the upper 50’s in the morning increasing to the mid 60’s with the winds picking up to 25-30 with gusts to 40 mph.  The only fishing report we have today came from the offshore fleet.  They had excellent catches of yellowfin tuna, some amberjacks and trigger fish.

The Penn Gold International V Stand-up Rods utilize faster tapers and shorter blanks than those found on the V-series IGFA rods.  International V-series stand-up rods offer anglers opting to fight stand-up-style greater mechanical advantages than the longer, parabolic rods needed for fighting fish out of the chair. Soft-tip sections that quickly taper into the powerful mid and butt sections of these rods offer anglers a comfortable fishing action capable of handling the extreme leveraged pressures typical of stand-up fishing styles.
