Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

Today was the warmest day so far.  We had lots of sunshine and light south winds at 5 mph.  The temperatures were in the mid 70’s.  Lots of blow toads being caught every where.  A few blues at Cape Point.  The Frisco and Hatteras beaches had some sea mullet and a few puppy drum.  One boat caught all the 45-50 in drum you wanted just off Cape Point yesterday.  Any south-west wind means they could be on the beach any time.  The offshore fishing was pretty good today.  Most boats that targeted bluefin tuna caught one, but they were picky eaters.  The top water popper worked well like the one in the photo below from the “Bite Me”.  The blackfin tuna bite was the best on the vertical jigs and a few dolphin have been mixed in.
