Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

Today was really nice.  We had light south-west winds at 10 mph and the temperatures were right around 70 degrees.  Well we have blow toads at Cape Point and the whole south beaches all you want using shrimp.  Some guys have caught 60-100, no kidding.  Some sea mullet were biting pretty good at Cape Point, a few big drum too. The Frisco beach had some sea mullet.  Offshore fishing was really good today.  It was a lot like spring time conditions.  Real good dolphin and big blackfin tuna fishing today.  Also one wahoo was reported.  A big blackfin tuna is 20-30 lbs.  Picture below is from the “Godspeed” boat with a nice gaffer dolphin.

The Williamson Dorado Catcher is a rigged lure with a flat-faced pusher style head which features a large cavity in the rear of the head specially designed to take a Ballyhoo rigging spring. This allows you to get the bait in close to the head and skirt of the lure giving the bait better protection at desired higher trolling speeds.
