Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

Today in Frisco we had sunny skies with little wind.  The winds were from the south-west at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 70’s.  We have had a good day on the fishing front.  The Buxton beach had some flounder and bluefish caught today.  Ramp 44 in Buxton is closed for the birds.  Ramp 43 is still open.  The Frisco beach has had good catches of bluefish and some puppy drum.  The beat spot was over ramp 55 in Hatteras.  Lots of nice size pompano, see the last two posts for some pictures,  a few puppy drum and some bluefish were caught.  There was also a 11 lb 4 oz triple tail caught by Wilson Holmes of Concord, NC  at ramp 55.  The inshore fleet had good bluefish and spanish mackerel fishing along with a few drum, big and small.  The offshore gaffer dolphin bite was good.  A few wahoo and blackfin tuna were also caught.  A few sailfish and a white marlin were released today.  Below a nice gaffer dolphin aboard the “Godspeed” charter boat.
