Hatteras Island and HVOO Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

Today the weather in Frisco was mostly cloudy with rain showers later in the afternoon.  The winds were from the south-east switching to the north-east at 5-15 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 70’s.  The Avon beaches had a few sea mullet and bluefish.  Buxton, Frisco and Hatteras beaches all had some scattered sea mullet and bluefish catches.  No boats fishing inshore today due to thunderstorms.  The offshore boats had real good day of gaffer dolphin fishing with a few blackfin tunas mixed in.  The 2nd day of the Hatteras Village Offshore Open was exciting with “Builders Choice” releasing two blue marlin to take the lead with 800 points and two white marlin released, one by “Release” and one by “Islander” both out of Hatteras and two blue marlin were boated. The “Galot III” weighed in a 515.9 lb blue marlin to take the largest Blue marlin spot and second place with 515 points and the “Waste Knot II” weighed in a 461 lb blue marlin to take third place with 461 points.  To check out the HVOO tournament click the hyper link.  Hatteras Village Offshore Open
