Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:
The Weather in Frisco was rainy most of the day. We had south-west winds 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 80’s. The beaches were slow again today. Some spanish mackerel around ramp 43 in Buxton this morning and a few sea mullet on the Frisco beach. That’s about it for the beach. The inshore boats caught some spanish mackerel and bluefish along the beaches and a few speckled and gray trout in the sound. Offshore fishing today was pretty good for some. Some boats had lots of dolphin and some had a few. Scattered wahoo and blackfin tuna fishing also reported. Four sailfish, one white marlin and one blue marlin were released today from the charter fleet. The 8th Annual Hatteras Grand Slam Billfish Tournament Day 1 is over. Their were six sailfish, two blue marlin and one white marlin released today. The “Bill Collector” is in first place with 600 pts (1 blue, 1 sail), “Qualifier” is 2nd with 600 pts (3 sail) and “Sea Creature” is 3rd with 400 pts (1 blue). Two more days to fish.
