Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island:

The Weather in Frisco was sunny and the winds were calm again today.  We had south-east winds at 5 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s.  Up on the Avon beach some spot, sea mullet, croaker, small puppy drum and a few flounder were caught.  Out at Cape Point the bluefish bite on lures was excellent.  Some spanish mackerel and small puppy drum  were also caught.  The Frisco and Hatteras beaches had a variety of fish caught.  Bluefish, sea mullet, pompano, small puppy drum and spot were reported. The inshore boats had real good catches of spanish mackerel and bluefish around Cape Point.  There were speckled and gray trout and flounder caught in the Pamlico Sound.  The offshore fishing was much better today.  Some nice gaffer dolphin, mostly bailers, blackfin tuna and wahoo were caught.   The bottom fishing was good with b liners, red snapper and trigger fish.
