Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island: The Weather in Frisco was mostly sunny today with some rain showers in the afternoon.  We had south-west winds 5-15 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 70’s.

Bluefish, sea mullet, puppy drum and speckled trout were reported on the Avon beach.  The Buxton beaches had good bluefish, a few puppy drum and sea mullet.  Out at Cape Point the bluefish bite was really good again all day.  A few big red drum were caught this evening.  On the Frisco and Hatteras beach lots of bluefish were reported along with some sea mullet, croaker, spot, flounder and puppy drum.

The inshore boats had a good day of bluefish, flounder, some speckled and gray trout.  The offshore boats had another good day of wahoo fishing.  The dolphin and blackfin tuna fishing was decent. Several citation grouper were caught along with three sailfish released.
