Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
It was partly cloudy today. The winds were from the north-west switching to the east at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the low 50’s. We do have a low pressure moving through the region by tomorrow producing lots of northerly winds and some rain. It looks like the storm may track more to the north of us but still producing winds 25-35 mph with some gust to 50 mph by late tomorrow night.
The Hatteras- Ocracoke Ferry is back up and running. They are using an alternative route which will take 60-70 minutes to cross until the primary route is finished.
We have no reports of fish caught today even though the weather was pretty nice.
No boats fishing inshore. There were lots of bluefin tunas busting the surface again today and many were hooked up and caught. The bluefin tunas were hitting top water plugs and vertical jigs. Below is the “Bite Me” charter boat with a nice bluefin tuna catch.
