Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today the sun came out and the day was nice.  We had north-east winds 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the low 60’s.

The fishing was much better today.  We had catches of puppy drum, blow toads and sea mullet reported on the Buxton, Frisco and Hatteras beaches.  Some more black drum were caught over on the Frisco beach.  The bluefish bite was good on the Buxton and Hatteras beach.

No boats fishing inshore.  Offshore fishing was pretty good with some nice 40 lb yellowfin tunas caught.  Blackfin tuna, a some nice dolphin, some citation wahoo and a 161 lb mako shark were brought back to the dock.  The amberjack and albacore were biting good too.   The “Bite Me” charter boat’s catch is pictured below.
