Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today we had sunny skies with increasing winds   The winds were from the south-west at 10-25 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s

On the Buxton beach some sea mullet were reported.  The Frisco beach had some small puppy drum. Down on the Hatteras beach some sea mullet and pompano were caught.

The inshore boats caught some citation red drum.

The offshore fleet in Hatteras had a slow and rough day.  Only a few dolphin and yellowfin tunas reported. .

The 4th day of The Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament  was slow with only 30 boats out of 100 fishing.   2 blue marlin, 2 white marlin and 1 sailfish were released today.  The “Hatteras Fever II”  with Capt. Buddy Hooper from Buxton NC is still in the lead going into the last 2 days of the Big Rock with their 465.3 lb blue marlin.
