Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
Today we had sunny skies with a few light rain showers on parts of the island. The winds were from the south-west at 5-15 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 80’s
On the Buxton and Frisco beaches the fishing was slow with some sharks and a few sea mullet. Down on the Hatteras beaches there were flounder caught.
The inshore boats had good puppy drum catches and some speckled and gray trout with some bluefish in the Pamlico Sound. There were some cobia caught too. The Spanish mackerel bite was really good just off the beach.
The offshore fleet had really good gaffer and bailer dolphin fishing and a few yellowfin and black fin tuna and wahoo. Only a few billfish released today. A blue marlin and a sailfish were released.
