Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
Today was mostly sunny with a few rain showers early this morning. The winds were from the south at 10-12 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 80’s
On the Buxton beaches there were croakers, sea mullet and bluefish reported. On the Frisco beach the fishing was pretty good with nice clear water. The Puppy drum bite was real good, some nice pompano, croakers, spot and flounder were reported today. The Hatteras beaches had some sea mullet and bluefish reported today. The 2 pictures below are Howard Miller of Richmond Va with a 24″ puppy drum caught over the Ramp 49 in Frisco using a white gulp grub and Pamela Smith of Buxton NC with her 1 lb 9 oz pompano also caught over Ramp 49 today.
The inshore boats caught gray and speckled trout, some bluefish, puppy drum, citation red drum and a few cobia.
Most offshore boats fished today. They caught a few dolphin, some blackfin tuna and wahoo. There was a blue marlin, a white marlin and a sailfish released today, but not on the same boat.
