Celebrate Independence Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun 4th of July Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today we had beautiful weather with sunshine and light winds.  The winds were from the south at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 80’s

On the Buxton beaches sea mullet and croaker were reported   On the Frisco beach the fishing was really good again today.  The Puppy drum bite is still happening, a few black drum, some nice pompano, croakers and spot were reported today.  The Hatteras beaches had some sea mullet and pompano.

The pictures below are Howard Miller from Richmond Va with a puppy drum and a black drum caught on the Frisco beach today.

The inshore boats caught speckled trout, some bluefish and  puppy drum.

The offshore fleet had some decent gaffer dolphin, and a few wahoo and blackfin tuna.  Once again there was a blue marlin, white marlin and a sailfish released today but all on different boats.
