Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today was mostly rainy in the morning with partly sunny skies most of the day. The winds were from the south-east at 5-15 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 80’s.

On the Buxton beach only some sea mullet, croaker and bluefish were reported.  Over on the Frisco and Hatteras beach the seas were a little rough and some sea mullet, croaker and pompano were reported.   There are still some big drum and puppy drum down at Hatteras Inlet in the evenings.

The inshore boats had good citation red drum catches in the Pamlico Sound today.  The offshore fishing was pretty rough.  Good catches of blackfin tuna, a few dolphin, wahoo and skipkacks were reported.
