Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today was sunny all day.  The winds were from the south-west at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 80’s  

On the Buxton sea mullet and bluefish reported.  Over on the Frisco beach some sea mullet were reported.   The Hatteras beaches had some flounder, bluefish, croaker, spot and a few puppy drum caught.

The inshore boats had excellent puppy drum fishing today.  Some big red drum citation’s were recorded and bluefish, speckled and gray trout were caught in the Pamlico Sound.   The boats along the beaches caught bluefish and spanish mackerel.   The offshore boats had some wahoo and dolphin catches.  There were scattered black fin and yellowfin tuna reported.  One blue marlin was released today.
