Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today we had sunny skies and crystal clear water all day.  The winds were from the south-east at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 80’s

On the Buxton beach there were pompano, bluefish and sea mullet caught.  Out at Cape Point the spanish mackerel fishing was really good on lures as well as a few bluefish.  On the Frisco beach sea mullet and pompano were caught.  The Hatteras beaches had bluefish, croaker, flounder, pompano and spot reported.

The inshore boats had good puppy drum and speckled trout fishing with a few gray trout caught in the Pamlico Sound. The spanish mackerel and bleufish were biting along the beaches near shore.  The offshore boats had good dolphin and excellent citation wahoo catches and a few king mackerel and blackfin tuna.  One sailfish was released.  Below is the “Whatever” charter boat with their catch today.
