Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today was mostly sunny.  The temperatures were in the upper 80’s.  The wind was out of the east at 5 mph.

Today on the Buxton beach bluefish, croaker and a few puppy drum were reported. Out at Cape Point bluefish and spansih mackerel were caught on lures, a few puppy drum were caught in the hook.  The Frisco beaches had reports of bluefish.  Hatteras had a variety of fish caught today.  Some pompano, spot, croaker, sea mullet, flounder and some puppy drum were reported.

The inshore boats had puppy drum and bluefish caught in the Pamlico Sound.  The offshore fleet had real pretty weather with good yellowfin tuna with limits for the boats that fished up to the east and real good wahoo fishing.  A few dolphin and king mackerel were also caught.  The picture below is one of those boats that fished up that way.  The “Godspeed” charter boat limiting out on yellowfin tuna.
