Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today we had sunny skies with temperatures in the mid to upper 80’s.  The winds were from the north-east at 5-10 mph.

The Buxton beaches had reports of bluefish, spanish mackerel and puppy drum. Out at Cape Point some spanish mackerel and puppy drum were reported.  The Frisco beaches had plenty of action today, but most were small fish.  Pompano, sea mullet, spanish mackerel and bluefish were all caught.  Hatteras beaches had catches of bluefish, croaker, flounder and sea mullet.

The inshore boats had another pretty good day today.  They had reports of flounder, speckled and gray trout, bluefish and puppy drum.

The offshore fleet had really good fishing today.  Lots of dolphin and yellowfin tuna, some nice citation wahoo, a few black fin tuna were all caught today.  5 sailfish, a blue marlin and a white marlin were released today.  Congratulations to “Sea Creature” charter boat with their Grand Slam they caught today while fishing out of Hatteras NC.
