Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
We had more clear skies today with winds from the south-west at 5 mph. The temperatures were in the low 80’s degrees today. Day 3 of the Government Shut Down access to the ramps on Hatteras and Ocracoke Island were still closed. You can still park and walk over on most of the turnouts up and down the Island and access to the beach in front of the houses are not affected.
On the Buxton beaches bluefish, sea mullet, puppy drum and a few flounder are being caught. Over on the Frisco beach a few puppy drum sea mullet and pompano have been reported. Down on the Hatteras beaches there seems to be few people fishing so we have no reports.
The boats fishing the Pamlico Sound had more good catches of puppy drum and bluefish.
The offshore boats had another great day. Good dolphin and wahoo catches with a few yellowfin tuna caught. A white marlin and a sailfish were released today.
