Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today was partly cloudy with some rain showers off and on all day. We had north-east winds 5-15 mph and the temperatures were in the low 70’s

Tomorrow is the start of the 56th Annual Cape Hatteras Anglers Club Surf Fishing Tournament.  Good Luck to all the participants and thank you for your business.

Around the Buxton beaches bluefish and puppy drum were caught.   Out at Cape Point real good puppy drum catches were reported along with a few big red drum. On the Frisco beach puppy drum and black drum were caught.  Down on the Hatteras beach puppy drum, bluefish, spot and flounder were reported.

No inshore boats fished today.  Most boats fished offshore today.  They came back with good dolphin fishing with a few wahoo, king mackerel and black fin tuna.  The bottom fishing was good with trigger fish.
