Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
Today was the first full day of emergency ferry operation from Stumpy Point to Rodanthe due to the eroded pilings of the bridge over Oregon Inlet. The ferry schedule is posted on the NCDOT website. Contracts are being awarded to fix the immediate issue until the new bridge finally get through all of the BS lawsuits from the SELC.
Today was partly cloudy with some rain showers. The winds were from the east at 5-15 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 60’s.
The Buxton beaches had some reports of puppy drum and sea mullet. Real good catches of puppy drum out at Cape Point all afternoon. On the Frisco beach by the Pier some decent speckled trout were caught. A few puppy drum were reported too.
There is no inshore or offshore report for today.
