Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today was another nice and sunny day.  The winds were from the north-east switching to the south-west at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 50’s.

Today the ocean calmed down even more by the afternoon.  There were a few puppy drum caught out at Cape Point in Buxton.  Over on the Frisco Beach at Ramp 49 the action was pretty good-by the afternoon with several puppy drum caught.  The picture below is one of the two caught by Jack and his dad on the Frisco Beach.  Pretty work guys.

The in shore boats had good catches of puppy drum in the Pamlico Sound today.  The offshore fishing was good as well.  Some nice catches of blackfin tuna and sea bass.
