Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today we had another nice day. The winds were from the south-west at 10-15 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 60’s.

They closed Cape Point in Buxton today due to a couple of Piping Plovers exhibiting mating behavior.  Puppy drum were caught on the Buxton beach today by the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse Jetties.  The Frisco Beaches over on Ramp 49 had excellent puppy drum catches throughout the day with the morning bite being better.  A few sea mullet were also reported.  The picture below is Jack Revere with one of the puppy drum he and his dad caught today on the Frisco Beach.  Pretty work Jack!!
