Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

It was another beautiful day on the island. Temperature was around 70 throughout the day. The wind early this morning was South-West at less than 5mph coming around to the North for a couple hours, changing back to South-West at 5-10mph around noon.

The fishing was steady today. Today in Avon Sea Mullet, Bluefish, Spot, and Blowtoads were caught. Also in Avon there were some Speckled Trout released. The Bluefish were thick in Buxton. The ones willing to walk to the Point today caught Puppy and some larger Red Drum. Also some Flounder, Sea Mullet, and Spot were caught in Buxton. In Frisco today a Sheepshead was caught along with some Flounder, Bluefish, and Sea Mullet.

Inshore today the Puppy Drum were still biting. Some Blues were caught too. There were also some nice size Cobia spotted.

Offshore today was busy. There were several White Marlin released. Gaffer Dolphin, Blackfin Tuna, and a few Wahoo were caught trolling. From the bottom there were some Grouper, Tilefish and Triggerfish.
