Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
A beautiful day was had by all here on Hatteras Island. The southern breeze continues, blowing 5-10 throughout the day with a high around 78 degrees.
Avon Pier had Spanish and bluefish this morning, along with some pompano and sea mullet. Ramp 43 had reports of sea mullet. Cape Point had 4 or 5 cobia landed a couple of big drum and a puppy drum. Ramp 49 had reports of a few sea mullet, puppy drum and blue fish. Ramp 55 had pompano. Pictured below is Summer Bracher with her cobia she landed at Cape Point this evening. Also pictured below is Lee Haller with his 65lb citation cobia caught off Ocracoke. Nice fish!!
The inshore boats caught cobia, most in the 20-40lb range. Cobia season is just heating up, lots of cobia have been seen! The offshore fleet reports good gaffer dolphin, some wahoo, and a few blackfin tuna.
