Hatteras Island Fishing Report

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today the weather wasn’t the best although the sun did shine for a little around noon. The rain showers were scattered all day. The temperature was around 80 for most of the day. Winds were East at 5-10 mph.

Avon was the hot spot to be today, the Spanish, Bluefish, Spot, and Croaker were caught. From Buxton and Frisco beaches the Pompano and Sea-Mullet were biting early in the day and slowed down in the after noon when the weather turned.

Inshore today the Puppy Drum fishing was really good.

Offshore the fishing was great even with some nasty weather. The Bailer and Gaffer Dolphin were biting good. A scattered Wahoo and Tuna bite today with both Yellowfin and Blackfin. The White and Blue Marlins were around again today.
