Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
Another beautiful day here on Hatteras Island. We had clear skies, with a high of 79F and ESE winds around 9mph.
Avon beach had some sea mullet. At Ramp 44 in Buxton, there were reports of spanish mackerel. Also in Buxton, behind the motels were bluefish and sea mullet. Here in Frisco, there were sea mullet and pompano. Hatteras beach had reports of a few flounder and some sea mullet, pompano and bluefish.
Inshore boats had good catches of red drum, good spanish mackerel and some cobia. The picture below is the Hang On with some red drum and cobia they caught sight casting.
Lots of flags flappin’ today! There were 8 sailfish releases and 2 blue marlin. It was good dolphin fishing, with some wahoo and yellowfin tuna mixed in. Pictured below is Bite Me with a citation dolphin.
