Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
Today we had cloudy skies with windy conditions. The winds were out of the north-east at 10-20 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 60’s. This low pressure system will move onshore tonight and tomorrow and bring some possible heavy rain and gusty winds 15-25 mph out of the north switching to the east.
Up on the Avon and Buxton beaches and out at Cape Point in Buxton there were puppy drum reported. On the Avon Pier some big red drum made a showing today. The Frisco beach had sea mullet and pompano caught. On the Hatteras beaches some bluefish, sea mullet and flounder were reported.
The inshore boats had good catches of puppy drum and yearling drum today in the Pamlico Sound. The flounder bite was pretty good too.
Only one boat out offshore today and they had good fishing with a nice catch of dolphin, a few wahoo and some blackfin tuna.
