Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
Today was another beautiful day with a few clouds in the sky. The temperature did get over 60 today but not by much. The winds were north-north-east 5-10 mph laying out slowly throughout the day.
From the beaches the fishing was great. In Avon there was speckled trout, puppy drum, sea-mullet, and bluefish caught. The Avon pier is holding a red drum and bluefish tournament and today the drum were biting great, some bigger and some nice puppy drum too. In Buxton there was sea-mullet, bluefish, and puppy drum caught. Frisco beach there was some smaller black drum along with some blowtoads. The puppy drum and bluefish were biting also. In Hatteras there was some flounder and a great bluefish bite near the inlet.
Inshore today the fishing was great. The bluefish and speckled trout were biting great. The puppy drum fishing has slowed down but there was still some caught. The grey trout were smaller sized but plenty of them around.
Offshore today the fishing was really good. The yellowfin and blackfin tuna were biting great. The king mackerel and dolphin bite was good along with some albacore and amberjacks caught. The dolphin fishing is still going good. There’s still a few wahoo around also.
Here’s one of the 50lb Yellowfin tuna caught on the Godspeed today. Pretty work guys!
