Hatteras Island Fislhing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today we had sunny skies. The winds were from the south-west at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s.

Up on the Avon beaches there were catches of sea mullet reported.  Around the Buxton beaches we have had puppy drum, croaker and flounder.  Over on the Frisco beach sea mullet and pompano were reported.  Down on the Hatteras beaches some spanish mackerel, sea mullet and pompano reported.

The inshore boats caught lots of puppy drum and some red drum over 40 inches. The spanish mackerel and bluefish bite was pretty good.

The offshore fleet had good catches of gaffer dolphin with some citations and a few wahoo and blackfin tuna.  A nice 58 lb grouper was caught aboard the “Good Times” charter boat.
