Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
Today was mostly sunny. We had south-west winds 10-20 mph and the temperatures were in the low 80’s.
Up on the Avon beaches there were croakers and sea mullet reported. Around the beaches of Buxton only some croakers, sea mullet, pompano and bluefish were reported. The Frisco beaches had lots of grass. Down on the Hatteras beaches one cobia, croakers, bluefish, puppy drum and sea mullet were caught.
Tomorrow is the start of the 11th Annual Hatteras Grand Slam Tournament. Good Luck to all who is fishing.
The inshore boats had another day of good red drum releases with some citations in the Pamlico Sound.. The gray trout and bluefish bite was good too.
The offshore boats had excellent marlin fishing with “Native Son” catching a Grand Slam. 11 blue marlin, 9 sailfish and 3 white marlin were released today. A few dolphin, wahoo and black fin tuna were caught.
