Hatteras Island Fishing Reports

Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.

Today we had cloudy skies for the first part of the day but cleared up to blue skies later. The winds were light today from the North. Temperatures were in the upper 70’s throughout the day.

From the beach today the fishing was great. In Avon there was puppy drum, pompano and spanish mackerel from the beach. The bluefish, spanish pompano and sea-mullet were biting from the pier in Avon. Buxton beach had spanish mackerel, bluefish and pompano biting. Here in Frisco there was sea-mullet and pompano caught. In Hatteras there was bluefish and pompano biting.

 

Inshore today the fishing was great. there was spanish mackerel, albacore and a few cobia showed up. The red drum fishing is still going great with citations and keepers being caught.

Offshore today there was some good fishing. The dolphin bite slowed down some today but the wahoo and black-fin tuna were still biting great. The yellow-fin tuna showed up today. The wreck fishing was great today with sea bass, silver snapper and vermilion snapper being caught.
