Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
The weather today was great. We had North winds at 5-10 mph. temperatures were in the upper 60’s. We had cloudy skies this morning but cleared to blue skies in the afternoon.
Fishing from the beach was good today. In Avon there was a good sea-mullet bite. In Buxton there was sea-mullet, bluefish, pompano, and puppy drum at the point. Here in Frisco there was a good puppy drum bite. Hatteras beach there was bluefish and flounder biting.
Today wrapped up the 33rd Annual Ocracoke Invitational Surf Fishing Tournament. The fianl standing are:
Overall:
1st Place: Merchantville Fishing Club with 111 Points.
2nd Place: Bud Light 6 Packs with 76 Points
3rd Place: Team Daiwa with 67 Points
Women’s
1st Place: Outcasters with 27 Points
2nd Place: Queen Mackerel with 22 Points
3rd Place: Fishing Pelicans with 18 Points
The larger bluefish are here and were biting great today.
Offshore today the black-fin tuna fishing was great again. The dolphin bit was good as well.
