Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
Today we had cloudy skies, with a temperature high around 73F. The winds were light and out of the south this morning and the southwest this afternoon.
Avon had a few sea mullet to report today. Buxton reports some blow toads and sea mullet. Frisco is reporting sea mullet as well. We weighed a nice citiation size this afternoon. Hatteras had gray trout, puppy drum, small bluefish and small flounder.
The inshore boats had nice catches of bluefish and gray trout. They also had some limits and puppy drum releases.
The offshore boats had catches of blackfin tuna, dolphin (some gaffer size), and some wahoo. Those that bottomfished had catches of triggerfish, silver snapper, black sea bass and a 51 pound grouper. Pictured below is the Bite Me with a nice blackfin. The second picture is the Longer Days with a nice dolphin and tuna catch.
