Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
We started the day with more thunderstorms, but they cleared up mid morning and he weather was great from then on. Temperatures were around 80 today. Winds were from the South-West and calm.
Fishing from the beach picked up today. In Avon there was bluefish, sea-mullet, and spanish mackerel from the beach. From the Pier there was bluefish, spanish mackerel, sea-mullet, and pompano. In Buxton the spanish, sea-mullet, and pompano were biting. Here in Frisco there was some small flounder, sea-mullet, pompano, bluefish, spanish mackerel, and some puppy drum caught.
Randy Emerson was fishing from the beach here in Frisco late this afternoon and caught a nice yearling drum.
Inshore today the fishing was great. We weighed a couple cobia today. The spanish and bluefish were biting as well. In The sound there was a good puppy drum bite.
Dawn Midgett from Buxton caught this nice 71 pound cobia fishing near cape point today.
Offshore fishing was good today. There was a few sailfish and blue marlins released. Gaffer dolphin were biting great today. the Black-fin tuna are still here and biting good.
