Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
Today was sunny and warm with calm winds. We had west winds 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 80’s.
Up on the Avon beach sea mullet and bluefish were reported. Around the Buxton beaches flounder, sea mullet and some puppy drum and spanish mackerel were caught. Over on the Frisco beach sea mullet, pompano and a few puppy drum were reported. Down on the Hatteras beach sea mullet , flounder, bluefish and a few pompano were caught.
The inshore boats had good catches of bluefish, spanish mackerel, puppy drum, a few big drum and gray trout.
The offshore fleet had good dolphin catches, a few blackfin tuna and wahoo. There were several sailfish released along with a few white marlin.
The 58th Annual Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament had a lot of action today with 3 blue marlin brought to the scales at Big Rock Landing in Morehead City NC. “Ashley Lauren” took the lead with their 621.4 lb blue marlin.
