Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
Today we had beautiful weather although there was a few clouds around. The winds were from the East this morning and calm turning to the North later in the afternoon picking up to 10-15 mph. The temperature was in the lower 80’s.
From the beach today there was some good fishing. In Avon off the beach and the pier there was sea-mullet, bluefish, and spanish mackerel from the beach. In Buxton there was spanish mackerel, sea-mullet, and puppy drum biting. Here in Frisco we had sea-mullet and spot caught. In Hatteras there was sea-mullet, bluefish, spot, and small flounder caught.
Inshore fishing was good this morning with spanish mackerel, spot, and sea-mullet. Some scattered rain showers slowed the afternoon bite but there was still some red drum released and spanish mackerel caught.
Offshore was good today as well. The sailfish were biting today. There was dolphin wahoo and black-fin tuna brought to the docks today. From the bottom there was amberjack, grouper, and vermillion snapper caught.
Good Luck to those fishing the 57th Annual Hatteras Marlin Club Blue Marlin Release Tournament.
