Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
Today had a little less humidity but still hot. The winds were from the south-west at 10 mph and the temperatures were in the upper 80’s.
Up on the Avon beach bluefish and sea mullet were reported. The Buxton beaches had puppy drum, sea mullet and a few flounder caught. Not much to report on the Frisco and Hatteras beaches.
The inshore boats had plenty of Big red drum releases as well many puppy drum. The speckled trout and bluefish bite was good too in the Pamlico Sound. Spanish mackerel and bluefish were caught on the troll just outside Hatteras Inlet.
The offshore boats released several sailfish and had scattered catches of blackfin tuna and dolphin.
Tomorrow is the first of 3 days of fishing in the 12th Annual Hatteras Grand Slam Billfish Tournament. Check out all of the action at HatterasGrandSlam.com.
