Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
Today was hot and humid with a heat index of 104 degrees. The winds were from the south-east at 5-10 mph and the temperatures were in the mid 90’s.
Up on the Avon beach sea mullet, croaker and bluefish were reported. The Buxton beaches had sea mullet and bluefish. Out at Cape Point in Buxton good spanish mackerel and bluefish reported with sharks caught on cut bait. Over on the Frisco beaches some croaker and pin fish were caught around the Frisco Pier. Down on the Hatteras beach croaker and bluefish were caught.
The inshore boats had catches of red drum, bluefish, speckled trout and a 70 lb cobia caught off the charter boat “Adventure” with a trout rod today. Just outside Hatteras Inlet bluefish, spanish mackerel and further off the beach some king mackerel were caught.
The offshore boats had good catches of wahoo, a few dolphin and blackfin tuna. A white marlin was released and the tilefish were caught off the bottom.
