Here is the Frisco Rod and Gun Outer Banks Fishing Report for Hatteras Island.
Sunny skies again today. The temperatures were in the mid 80’s today with winds from the North East at 5-10 mph.
Fishing from the beach sill seems slow. In Avon off the beach and pier there was sea-mullet and croaker biting. In Buxton there was spanish mackerel, bluefish and small puppy drum biting. Here in Frisco we had a few sea-mullet caught. Hatteras beach had sea-mullet and a few small bluefish biting.
Inshore fishing was great today. This morning there was speckled trout and puppy drum caught. This afternoon there was citation sized drum and puppy drum caught. A few cobia were released as well. Just outside the inlet there was spanish mackerel and king mackerel biting.
Billfish are here! There was a handful of sailfish released. Blue marlin and white marlin were seen but wouldn’t bite. Dolphin, black-fin tuna, and yellow-fin tuna filled the boxes. There was also a few wahoo caught today.
